The onPrinciple CEO Learning Community is a year-long leadership formation experience designed to encourage, refresh, and sustain YMCA chief executives as they navigate the opportunities and challenges of executive leadership. Rooted in the YMCA's Christian heritage and open to leaders of all faith traditions and those open to exploring matters of faith, participants journey alongside a trusted community of peers while exploring what it means to allow Christian principles reflected in the YMCA mission to shape leadership practice.

Through bi-monthly virtual gatherings, guided reflection, authentic conversation, and shared learning, CEOs step away from the demands of daily leadership to reconnect with purpose, gain fresh perspective, and cultivate relationships with colleagues who understand both the opportunities and responsibilities of executive leadership. Together, participants encourage one another as they seek to allow Christian principles reflected in the YMCA mission to shape leadership practice within their associations while investing in the next generation of YMCA leaders.

A defining feature of the experience is the annual onPrinciple Gathering at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, where participants from every CEO Learning Community come together to deepen relationships, share learning across communities, and strengthen their connection to the broader onPrinciple network.

Throughout the year, participants apply insights within their own YMCA while drawing encouragement and wisdom from trusted colleagues. Rather than focusing on a single leadership experiment, the Learning Community provides an ongoing rhythm of reflection, mutual support, and shared discernment that nurtures faithful, mission centered leadership over time.
